It's no secret that others influence people for good or bad. We may like to think we are captains of our ships and make our own decisions, but the actions of others nudge us either toward or away from ideas, teachings, practices, values, organizations, causes, and more. In light of that, I'd love to hear about how others have influenced your response to Christian teachings, the church, the Bible, and related matters of faith. Do you have an excellent example of someone who lived a life of faith that helped you embark on or remain on such a path? Have you encountered others whose attitudes, words, or actions were the opposite of what would attract you to share their professed faith? Please share your experience.

I would love to hear about the journey of faith you have been on. In addition to the Bible itself, which Bible study tools and resources do you use and benefit from the most? So many types are available: - Study Bibles - Commentaries - Concordances - Dictionaries - Atlases - Phone and PC applications - Websites - Search engines - Specific books - Videos - Libraries - Specific people's preaching/teaching/writing - and more. As for me, when I'm preparing to teach my weekly adult Bible study class, I always use at least the following as I prepare the class handouts: - 11 different study Bibles - Any relevant commentaries or other books I have on hand - An interlinear Greek and Hebrew resource such as BibleHub.com or the Bible Hub app on my phone. - Web search to pursue specific topics of interest in more depth - Wayne Grudem's Systematic Theology: Second Edition for more info on specific doctrines What about you?
